”100% Doraemon & FRIENDS” Tour (Hong Kong) makes grand debut
The exhibition, which features both free and paid areas, will be one of the world’s largest Doraemon exhibitions.
The free exhibition, taking place along the iconic landmark Avenue of Stars and Tsim Sha Tsui harbourfront, runs from 13 July to 11 August. The "100% Doraemon Outdoor Exhibition Area" features the world's tallest 12-metre inflatable sculpture of Doraemon, accompanied by 34 Doraemon from manga and animation, and 10 other 1:1-scale sculptures from movie series. What’s more, the “100% Avenue of Stars” exhibition will pay homage to the Hong Kong movie industry - Doraemon and his friends, all in formal attire, will stand alongside 13 Hong Kong film practitioners’ standees in comic-style along the renowned Avenue of Stars. Don’t miss this photo opportunity!
Running from 13 July to 18 August, the paid exhibition area extends to over 10,000 square feet and can be found on the sixth floor of K11 MUSEA. For the price of one ticket, you can enter both the indoor "100% Doraemon Manga Art Exhibition Hall", and the outdoor exhibition area "100% Doraemon Sculpture Park". Be sure to watch the original animated short film by a famous Japanese animation company tailored for Hong Kong. The story features Gian (Takeshi Goda) organising a concert in Hong Kong, and summoning Doraemon, Nobita, and other friends using the "100% Friend-Calling Bell”, a secret gadget debuting at our event. Before you leave, be sure to drop by the "100% Doraemon Sculpture Park", where you will see 36 Doraemon 3D sculptures and can immerse yourself in the whimsical experience.
