Security Alerts
Prudential wishes to alert the public to be cautious about fraudulent websites, social media platforms and emails etc. claiming to offer concert tickets while tricking users to provide their credit card information or other personal information through clicking on or linking up to hyperlinks or websites or replying to an email. Prudential reiterates that the company has no connection with these fraudulent websites, social media platforms and emails etc..
If customers are concerned that they may have disclosed credit card information/ personal bank details and/or other personal information or carried out transactions through these websites/platforms/emails etc., or have received information purporting to be sent from Prudential, they should report to the Police and regulator or contact Prudential's Customer Services Hotline at (852) 2281 1333 (Life Insurance) or (852) 3656 8362 (General Insurance and Employee Benefits) or emailservice@prudential.com.hk

Beware of Scam and Protect Yourself
You may receive suspicious information purporting to be sent from Prudential through electronic message (e.g. SMS, WhatsApp, WeChat, etc), emails, calls, websites, or any other channels. Prudential wishes to alert the public to be cautious. To protect your personal information, please access your account by entering our Prudential's official website (https://www.prudential.com.hk) or using Prudential's mobile application (myPru mobile app).
- If you have doubts about the links (or attachments) in the electronic message or email, do not click on the links or open the attachments.
- Do not enter any personal information on any websites or mobile applications linked through electronic message or email links.
- Prudential will not call or send any electronic message to obtain your Prudential mobile application account and password. Please keep your login credentials and other personal information private and secure.
If customers are concerned that they may have disclosed credit card information/ personal bank details and/or other personal information or carried out transactions through these websites/ platforms/emails etc., or have received information purporting to be sent from Prudential, they should
- Report to the Police and regulator

How to spot fraudulent emails and SMS
Example: If you receive an email claiming to be from Prudential, please note the following points:
- Suspicious email address: The email address is not listed in the Prudential official email address and may be misspelled.
- Urgent matters: Usually creating urgent matters so that there is no time to think
- Request for sensitive personal information, such as credit card information, Prudential mobile app account password and personal ID
- Suspicious links: You will be asked to click on the link, but the link does not connect to the Prudential official website, and the spelling of the link may be wrong
Example: In Hong Kong, if you receive a SMS claiming to be from Prudential, please note the following points:
- Suspicious sender: The message was not sent by #Prudential

Bogus Phone Calls and SMS Sender ID Registration Scheme
Bogus phone calls
We would like to alert customers of suspicious bogus phone calls claiming to be from Prudential Hong Kong Limited, Prudential Hong Kong Limited (Macau Branch) and Prudential General Insurance Hong Kong Limited (collectively referred to "Prudential")
- Please confirm the caller's identity and ask the caller to provide their full name and employee number.
- Please do not provide sensitive personal information such as your account and password for myPrudential
Bogus SMS
Beware of bogus SMS. Prudential will only send SMS to Hong Kong mobile number using a Registered SMS Sender ID that starts with "#Prudential". If you receive any suspicious SMS or links claiming to be from Prudential:
- Do not click on any hyperlinks or provide any personal information in any suspicious messages
- Do not respond to any suspicious messages

SMS Sender ID Registration Scheme
Hong Kong:
To assist customers in verifying the authenticity of SMS sender, Prudential has joined the SMS Sender ID Registration Scheme managed by the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA). Starting from 8 June 2024, all one-way SMS messages sent by the company (including life insurance, general insurance, and group insurance) will be sent under the following sender ID:

Please note that the SMS Sender Registration Scheme is not appliable to:
- Overseas mobile number
- SMS messages of which receiving parties are expected to reply to the senders via phone numbers (2-way SMS)
- Local subscribers of Single-Card-Multiple-Numbers / One-Card-Two-Numbers mobile service provided by non-Hong Kong operators
Mainland China:
To assist customers in verifying the authenticity of SMS sender, Prudential has registered the SMS Sender ID in Mainland China.
