Migration arrangement
-
Stay protected for your currently covered conditions1
You can migrate to a VHIS plan while keeping your hospital cover for existing injuries or illnesses1 that we already cover under your Original Medical Plan.
-
No need to go through the waiting periods that you’ve already completed under your Original Medical Plan
The waiting period under your VHIS plan for unknown pre-existing conditions and specified pregnancy complications (if applicable) will be counted from your Original Medical Plan.
-
Carry your no-claim record from your Original Medical Plan to the new VHIS plan
If you have a PRUmed lifelong care plan, you can carry your no-claim record from your Original Medical Plan when you migrate to PRUHealth FlexiChoice Medical Plan. Your no-claim record will be used to determine your eligibility for No Claim Discount under PRUHealth FlexiChoice Medical Plan.
Plans vary widely in the scope and level of coverage they offer, so we recommend you check that you are getting the cover you need and a policy that best fits your situation.
1 This is subject to the underwriting result of your migration application, whether to accept it on standard terms, accept it with premium loading and/or exclusions, or reject it. The currently covered conditions may possibly be excluded in the VHIS Plan.

How we migrate your plan
You may apply to migrate your Designaed Plan(s) at any time during the Migration Period.
Applicable to PRUHealth VHIS VIP Plan
Applicable to PRUHealth FlexiChoice Medical Plan and PRUHealth CoreChoice Medical Plan
Note: In general, we offer simplified underwriting for migration to PRUHealth Core Choice Medical Plan or PRUHealth FlexiChoice Medical Plan. However, if you would like to upgrade the ward level, add or select a higher limit of PRUHealth Major, or lower your deductible or migrate from an existing plan with deductible / coinsurance arrangement, you will need to undergo full underwriting. If your migration application is rejected, postponed or you do not want to proceed with the migration due to the underwriting result, you will stay insured in your existing plan. Please consult your consultant for details.
