Prudential continues to expand its Health and Protection capabilities with Treatment Sure’s one-stop medical advisory service
(9 October 2019 – Hong Kong) Prudential Hong Kong Limited (“Prudential”) has further enhanced its Health & Protection (H&P) capabilities with the launch of Treatment Sure, partnering with Advance Medical, part of Teladoc Health Group, to offer a one-stop medical advisory service to customers and empowering them to make more informed choices about their medical care.
Through Treatment Sure, Prudential will be offering a medical advisory service with a licensed doctor as a dedicated Physician Case Manager, providing expert guidance along their customers’ medical journey. The Physician Case Manager will seek independent second medical opinions from a network of more than 50,000 global medical experts, covering 450 or more specialties, and also provide options on overseas medical specialists.
"Treatment Sure continues the extension of Prudential’s offerings beyond health protection to supporting the postponement of adverse health effects. By giving access to expert second medical opinions from a team of global experts, facilitating overseas treatment, and providing recovery care advice all arranged by a dedicated Physician Case Manager, it underscores our commitment to providing best-in-class services and solutions for our customers." said Priscilla Ng, Chief Customer and Marketing Officer of Prudential Hong Kong.
Customers will receive a call within 24 hours of enrolment from a Physician Case Manager speaking in their own language (30 languages are covered) to ascertain details of the condition. They will then receive a personalised report based on opinions gathered from experts around the globe in customer’s preferred language, with a call from their Physician Case Manager to explain the report and answer questions.
By giving customers access to a medical concierge, Treatment Sure is also tailored to meet the needs of customers who wish to seek treatment overseas following the advice from medical experts worldwide. The scope of this seamless service includes appointment arrangement, on site medical translation and recovery care advice after discharge from hospital.
Acquired by the leading online healthcare service provider Teladoc Health in 2018, Advance Medical’s medical professionals meet high standards for clinical excellence, academic background, experience and expertise to help ensure customers receive high quality care and professional advice on diagnosis and treatment. With the service, around 40% and 70% of cases have resulted in a change of diagnosis and medical treatment respectively, most commonly in the fields of orthopaedics, oncology and gynecology. Meanwhile, invasive treatment has been avoided in 60% of cases.
"We are proud to extend the care and expertise of our medical professionals to Prudential’s customers through this partnership." said Myra Yu, Managing Director of Advance Medical Asia Pacific. "The discovery of any health condition can be a daunting and confusing event for a patient and every one of us, at some point or another, has questioned whether we have received the correct diagnosis. Treatment Sure will help remove uncertainty and give individuals peace of mind that they are receiving the most suitable care." added Myra.
